Description
The 100 × 75mm pine post is the go-to fence post for standard residential timber paling fences. The 75mm face sits flush with your rails for a clean, professional finish, while the rectangular profile keeps the post oriented correctly in the ground. Available in 1800mm, 2400mm, and 3000mm lengths to suit fences from 1.2m to 2.1m high (allowing for footings).
Pressure-treated with CCA preservative to H4 Hazard Class — the Australian standard for in-ground contact. H4 means this timber is protected against more severe fungal decay and subterranean termite attack, making it suitable for direct burial in soil or concrete. Don’t use H3 posts in the ground — always use H4.
Choosing the Right Post Length
As a guide, plan for at least 600mm of post below ground (more in loose, sandy, or reactive soil). A 1800mm post gives approximately 1200mm above ground. A 2400mm post gives approximately 1800mm. A 3000mm post gives approximately 2400mm. Always check your footing depth requirements before ordering.
