Description
When you want a fence post that genuinely outlasts the fence itself, CCA H4 treated hardwood is the answer. The 100 × 75mm hardwood post is denser, harder, and far more resistant to physical damage than its pine equivalent.
Treated to H4 Hazard Class with CCA preservative — rated for direct in-ground contact. H4 hardwood posts combine the natural durability of hardwood species with additional chemical protection against fungal decay and subterranean termite attack.
Pine vs Hardwood Posts — Which Should I Choose?
Pine posts are lighter, easier to handle, and more affordable — a solid choice for standard residential fencing. Hardwood posts are significantly heavier and denser, offering greater resistance to impact, splitting, and long-term decay. If budget is the primary concern, pine is fine. If longevity and durability are the priority, hardwood is worth the investment.
