Description
The 100UC Steel H-Post is the industry-standard structural post for concrete sleeper retaining wall systems across south-east Queensland. The universal column (H-beam) profile creates two parallel channels into which concrete sleeper panels slot directly — no mortar, no brackets, no bolts. Just set the post in a concrete footing, allow to cure, and start dropping in sleepers.
At 100mm wide, the flanges are sized to accept standard 75mm and 80mm concrete sleepers. Select the post length based on your wall height plus required below-ground embedment depth.
Selecting the Right Length
As a guide, allow at least 600–800mm below ground for low walls, and 1/2 of total post length for walls over 1000mm high. For example, a 1000mm high wall using 2000mm posts leaves 1000mm for embedment. Always consult an engineer for walls over 1000mm or walls retaining slopes or structures.

Need to Know
Posts must be installed in concrete footings before sleepers are placed. Footing depth and diameter should be engineered based on wall height, soil type, and surcharge loads. Sold individually — price shown is per post.
